Santos Rojas Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Santos Rojas, 96, of Waukegan passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on March 17, 2016. Santos was born on December 2, 1919 in San Lorenzo, Honduras. She came to Waukegan in the 1970's and remained a life long area resident. Santos was a member of Hondureños Associados of Waukegan Club & was also an active member of Immaculate Conception Church. She was an excellent mother and grandmother, & a beloved friend to many. Santos was a wonderful cook who enjoyed spending time with family & friends. Her personality & pure heart will forever be remembered. Santos was preceded in death by her husband Antonio Rojas; children Ruben Rojas, Digna Rojas Mungia, and Jorge Rojas. She will be dearly missed by her children Antonio Rojas Jr., Eduardo Rojas, Ricardo Rojas, Rigoberto Rojas, Jaime Rojas; her 28 grandchildren, 52 great grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren; and numerous friends and extended family. Visitation will be on Wednesday March 23, 2016 from 5pm - 9pm at The Memorial Chapel of Waukegan 1521 Washington Street Waukegan, IL 60085. Funeral Service will be on Thursday March 24, 2016 at 9:30 am at The Memorial Chapel of Waukegan. Interment will follow at Ascension Catholic Cemetery 1920 Buckley Road Libertyville, IL 60048.
