Robert William Eubanks, 77, Army Veteran, who was a long-time resident of Waukegan, passed away peacefully April 14, 2021. He was born on May 3, 1943, to Leroy and Mary Eubanks. Beloved brother to the late William Eubanks and devoted stepbrother to Valarie (William) Weller. Loving step uncle to Bradley (Katherine) and Andrew Weller, and great step uncle to Josiah and Amara. He also held dear the Jarc and Gantar families. Bob will be remembered for the love he showed his family and how he cherished quality time with them. Bob graduated from Waukegan Township High School in 1961. He attended Marquette University with a major in journalism. Bob absolutely loved the English language and was an avid reader. If he wasn’t enjoying a good book, he was found on the golf course. Bob was in the Army and received the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Bronze Star Medal, Good Conduct Medal, and Expert Infantry Badge (Rifle). After his service in the military, he was employed by the Waukegan Postal Service in which he retired from.
