October 27, 1926 - November 14, 2020

Gumercindo Chapa, was born in Palo Alto, Nuevo Leon, Mexico to Gumercindo and Adela Chapa. Leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 73 years, Maria Trinidad Chapa; his children, Maria Guadalupe (Ramon) Arrambide, Rebecca (Eduardo) Solis, Angelica (Emeterio) Guzman, Tina Wenzel, Jose Samuel Chapa; his grandchildren, Lorena Arrambide (Cavazos), Brenda Arrambide (Perez), Emmanuel Arrambide, Christina Arrambide (Villafuerte), Diane Solis (Rosario), Eduardo Roel Solis, Ricardo Samuel Solis, Emeterio IV Guzman, Isaac Guzman, Ishmael Guzman, Carlos R. Esquivel, Anthony Wenzel, Christopher Wenzel, Alyssa Chapa (Pimental), Luis Daniel Chapa, Dayanara Chapa; his great grandchildren, Bianca Cavazos, Belinda Cavazos, Octavio Cavazos, Jacklyn Perez, Karina Perez, Viviana Perez, Christian Villafuerte, Bella Villafuerte, Aiden Solis, Bryan Solis, Nathan Solis, Sohia Solis, Noah Solis, Emeterio V Guzman, Monique Guzman, Martin Sanchez, Jacob R. Esquivel, Justin A. Esquivel, Xander J. Esquivel, Laila Wenzel, Tessa Wenzel, Maya Wenzel, Jack Wenzel, Gracie Wenzel, Andy Pimental, Samuel Pimental, Arabella Pimental; his great-great grandchildren, Amaya Montgomery, Emani Perez, and Kinsley R. Esquivel; many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. His visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 18, 2020 from 4-8pm at Iglesia Emanuel, in Waukegan. His funeral service will be on Thursday, November 19, 2020 at 10am at the Church as well. Interment will take place at Mt. Olivet Memorial Park in Zion, Illinois.
